British Museum Lecture:
Eleanor of Aquitaine's Crusade
In this lecture I will examine Eleanor of Aquitaine's experiences during the Second Crusade. Eleanor's participation in this venture, and her scandalous experiences at Antioch, created a glamour around her that remains undimmed and kickstarted the career that would bring her eternal fame.

Jaipur Literature Festival
Live at the Jaipur Literature Festival in Rajesthan's Pink City, I will discuss Queens of Jerusalem, and the importance of rewriting women into the historical narrative, in conversation with the brilliant Indian author Ira Mukhoty.
The Event will take place on the 11th of March in the Mughal Tent.

Cheltenham Literature Festival:
Forgotten Female Titans
In conversation with author and broadcaster Katy Hessel, I will discuss the contributions made by women to art, literature, history and politics - contributions that are too often overlooked. The event will take place at 5:30 pm.
September 6th
British Museum Lecture
I will discuss my book Queens of Jerusalem in conversation with Professor Jonathan Philips. This event is open to British Museum Members.
